How Roliii finds jobs
Two engines, and one rule: a posting is listed with what is known about it, and nothing that is not.

01Two engines
- The pollerEvery 10 minutes
- Many employers publish their jobs through an applicant tracking system, and three of those (Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby) publish every board as data anybody can read. Roliii reads those boards directly. Each posting comes with the date the employer posted it, so a role is usually found within minutes of going live.
- The searcherHourly
- Most employers use no such system: a hospital's careers page, a clinic, a local firm, a board nobody has heard of. For those, Roliii searches the open web with a question built from what candidates want (an occupation, a level and a place), reads each page it finds, and keeps a posting only if it answers that question. It also asks questions of its own for the public board, one occupation group in one place at a time, working through the International Labour Organization's classification of occupations (ISCO-08) in the places candidates hunt and postings turn up.
Neither engine is a better version of the other. The poller is fast and reaches the employers who use those three systems; the searcher is slower and reaches everybody else.
02Nobody supplies a list of boards
When the searcher finds a posting on a board the poller can read, it adds that board, and the poller sweeps it from then on. Neither candidates nor the people who run Roliii maintain a list of sources. Where the jobs are is something Roliii finds out, not something it is told.
03Dates, stated honestly
A date the employer published reads "Posted 3 days ago". Many careers pages print no date at all, and for those Roliii only knows when it first saw the posting. Such a posting reads "Confirmed open, first seen 3 days ago", never "posted", and is never marked as fresh.
Only postings with the employer's own date carry the job-posting markup search engines read, because that markup's date means the day the employer posted it.
04One job, one listing
- A posting found by both engines is stored once. The two are matched on the link you apply through.
- The same job at the same employer in several places is one card on the board, and its page lists every place with its own apply link.
- A posting more than 30 days old is not stored and not shown.
05What Roliii adds to a posting
The employer's own words are shown as they wrote them. Around them, Roliii states the facts it could read (where, work mode, terms, level and pay) the same way on every posting, and leaves out any the employer did not state rather than guessing. Applying always happens on the employer's own site.
06What an account adds
With a profile, postings in the work a candidate named are scored against it, up to their plan's limit, and every score comes with the five factors behind it and the reason for each. Matches arrive in the app as they are found on every plan. On a paid plan they also arrive by email on the schedule the candidate picks, and Roliii drafts the application.
